![]() I have wanted to write a book since I was in high school, but I doubt I would have achieved this life dream without Writeway and Rea. “After climbing Everest, everyone wanted to know "what's my next mountain?" I would always respond that the next goal was publishing my book, but the truth is that the path to making that happen was much less clear to me than the route to the top of the world. Dannie Lynn Fountain, author of I Was Stupid With Money And So Are You Rea was a huge investment for me - the single largest investment into my business in the last few years. Her team even did a full edit and lightly stylized my proposal so it looked much better than "just a word doc" going out the door to agents. We met weekly and she held me accountable on the proposal (which I really needed) and her insights shaped it. My book is now in the hands of / being considered by an incredible retinue of editors and publishers. I know that this was due in large part to Rea's strong relationships and the strength of her insights in my book proposal. We had four responses to my query letter same-day and I signed with a literary agent just two weeks after sending out that first email. Getting a literary agent typically takes 2-6 weeks of waiting on replies after sending proposals, etc. I've self-published four books prior to my most recent book process and have a pretty good grasp on "how things work." But Rea's ability to help distill a lot of the book proposal process, as well as her connections with literary agents, are what truly helped my latest book endeavor. “Truly, my time working with Rea was absolutely invaluable. Scout Sobel, author of The Emotional Entrepreneur Just six months later, I have a clear and direct message in the form of a book that I am about to birth into the world!” Without Writeway, I would still have an endless google doc of emotional word vomit. Rea helped me mold my clay and now I (almost!) have a sculpture that will be presented to the world Fall 2021. Through the process of learning the industry, my soul called me to turn the other way and self-publish. I learned so much about the book publishing world, what book publishers are looking for, the process of writing a book proposal, and how to present my idea to the world. Working with Writeway helped me organize the gifts I have been yearning to share with the world so that when received on the other end, it will be transformative and not chaotic. That skeleton is the reason my book is going to be an effective communicator-instead of my poetic mind bouncing all over the place in the name of art! Together, we narrowed down the vision to one very poignant demographic: the emotional entrepreneur. Rea was able to shape my message and guide me towards the skeleton that would support its living force. When I came to Writeway, I had a lot of creative energy and heart around what I wanted to get out there into the world.
